  • Not a bad price. I prefer the Meguiar's Ultimate Wash Wax. Cleans good and smells like bubble gum. I wait and see when that goes on special. It's usually about $34 for the same size.

    • i also prefer wash & wax, just being lasy and think one solutoin will do everything for me :-)

      Is that the yellow stuff?

Been told to try NXT but honestly I can't even tell the blue amourall stuff (although this stuff is better for foaming). Want to give the yellos stuff a shot if it really beads with just washing.

I prefer Gold Class, although I haven't used Ultimate Wash Wax before. I generally dislike washes with wax because if you plan to polish and wax afterwards, this just put unnecessary layer on the paint. Even if you don't plan to polish or wax the car, you can achieve better beading with Gold Class wash and a layer of drying aid like Bowden's After Glow, which you put on while the car is still wet.

Plus Gold Class can be used as foam cannon. Not the best, but does the job in higher concentrations. It's just a better all rounder wash imo for the low price.

this is great in a foaming gun as a pre rinse, shame can't wash cars in Sydney anymore with a pressure gun

    • You can still use a sponge and bucket to wash. Funny that they allow you rise with a bucket and not allow you to use a high pressure hose, which uses less water. What if the high pressure hose was connect to a grey water tank?

I remember Victoria allowed high pressure hose until Stage 3 restriction, where all car wash was banned except at commercial car washes.

      • Seems silly to me too but I figure the idea is to make washing ones car inconvenient enough that people will be less likely to do it at all regardless of how water efficient it is compared to a hose/pressure washer.

      • The following water sources are not affected by water restrictions. However, many of these water sources have other controls on how they can be used and it's still important to use all water wisely.

What's excluded from the water restrictions?
Recycled water (supplied in some parts of Sydney from purple pipes).
Greywater (water that's collected after being used in washing machines, sinks and showers etc).
Rainwater (as long as the tank/dam isn't topped up from, or switched to, the drinking water supply).
Bore water (some government restrictions apply).
River water (you need to have a licence).
