Clive Peeters down for good

Not sure if anyone has heard yet, but see the following;

Harvey Norman axes Clive Peeters brand

Some stores closing, the rest switching to HN. Apparently there won't be any official 'closing down' sales, but they have been instructed to clear out display stock. If you're happy with that, check 'em out…

    for HN that decision must have been E-E-eeeeeeaasssssy

  • want to try and get down to the dandy store, not sure how big the bargains are going to be.. anyone had a look?

    • Dandenong is pretty close to being a ghost store… Very little left last time I was down there. Was a pretty hefty queue as well, heap of cars parking outside on the street, full car park.

      Thomastown on the other hand appeared to have more stock left, and a shorter queue. Car park was just as full though.

  • the one at belrose supacenta shut months ago. its still there, but boarded up. thought they would have put a new store in there by now.

  • I can understand why.

    I went to a store two weeks ago and asked for a price of an AV receiver.

    These are the problems i saw:

    1. None of the receivers had individual prices on them, only package (speakers & recv) prices.
    2. I asked a sales clown for a price, he went away & came back with a catalog but no pricing.
    3. waited for the clown to go away and come back again but this time I was told the rrp, which was more than the package price. I walked out.
  • Anyone know if the Mermaid store in QLD is closing down?
