Best Hot Water Dispenser

The warm water addiction is real. What is everyone using as an instantaneous hot water dispenser at home? I have an electric kettle already but I am after the time saving of having already hot boiling water at the push of a button!

I've come across the Tiger brand hot water urn on Bing Lee which seems like a good option. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

I use a temperature controlled glass kettle from kmart but if you have money to burn, check out the zip hydrotap: https://www.zipwater.com/products/hydrotap-range

The Tiger one and others like it only keeps water hot passively like a thermos iirc, it doesn't actually keep it heated. So it'll get progressively cooler.

You'd need something like what skid linked for always boiling hot water on tap.

Depends what you're using it for. Just to drink hot water, the thermos type would be fine. For tea and coffee, not so much.

I think OP was looking at the Tiger water heater instead of the urn.

The heater can boil the water by itself and keep it hot/warm. Will use more power of course, but their insulation is extremely good so it won't break your bank.

Zip Water system will cost over $2000. I would not bother with that because I have it in my office and it's constantly breaking. Cost hundreds of dollar on every repair.

Buy the Tiger water heater and you save $1700 by refilling the water yourself.

      • The Zip here at work is constantly on the fritz as well!

      • I use this Tiger water heater, love it. Let me know if you have questions OP.

To achieve the time saving, at home.
Seriously, how long does it take to boil a kettle? And it is not that you have to actually stop and wait for it to boil; you can continue to do other things with that (short) time.

It boils quicker if you watch it. Makes sure it doesn't get lazy.

if you have a hot water urn from tiger.. you boil water and fill in the morning.. the urn will keep the water hot enough for pretty much the whole day. you'll will need to dilute with cooler water to make it drinkable in the cup even if the urn was only 1/4 filled.

I always have a hot water urn filled with hot water from a kettle. then top it up once it gets very low I also have a jug of room temperature water next to it to mix to make the water a drinkable temp.

Turn on the cold water tap in summer.

  • Rheem Lazer Eco
    instant boiling water dispenser
think we paid around $700 for ours

  • Zoji, Tiger, Panasonic are the three better known brand for the hot water dispenser. I use a Zojirushi and I think it is worth every penny. You can have a look at review for specs.
Our family consumes much hot water so I think it was a good decision as it gets used constantly. It has pre-set temperature settings. Due to the temperature settings alone, I would go with the Zojirushi. See: Zoji - Operating Temperatures: 175°F, 195°F, 208°F and Vacuum / Reboils to 212°F, as for Tiger - Boil (208F), Stay Hot (194F), Baby Formula (140F).
