250 lumens is by no meams bright but I guess it is relative. Have a look on ebay and you will find headlamps with 5000-200000 lumens brightness for ~$10. The headlamps in this deal are probably best for children so they don't blind people around the camp.

🙄, chinese products that say they're 200000 lumens don't mean they are.
Haha yeah, 5,000-200,000 is more like "Chinese lumens" a.k.a. fake lumens. You basically take the true lumens and multiply by 100 or 1000. If anyone actually believe at those ratings, they are just naive and deserved to be cheated by those eBay sellers.
@edfoo: I asked for a refund when I bought a torch that was meant to be 1,500 lumens off eBay and it wasn't as bright as my 200 lumen LED torch I bought from ALDI. Not expecting much from the Chinese seller he did offer me a partial refund (25%) and admitted that there is a fake lumen arms race going on in eBay LED advertising. He did correctly state that he was only reselling a torch that advertised the same lumens on other eBay sites. But according to him/her to sell their torches they've got to keep up with the Jones's (or Wonges in this case) and advertise their torch with the same or more than the other torches. BTW a real 250 lumen headlamp is really bright and when you look closely at something white like a piece of paper or a white plate the reflection is really bright into your eyes and really annoying for others when you point your headlamp to them!!
@PukeyLuke: 250lumens is not bright IMO, I bought the higher one which is 315lumen for $27 from Bunnings when it was on sale and it's garbage. Anything from Ebay with Cree T6 or better and a Li-ion cell could blow this out the water.

@edfoo: Have you had experience with them? I have one of the chinese ones and I can tell you they are ridiculously bright. Went hiking recently at night with a few friends who had the crappy headlamps like in this deal. When I turned my headlamp on, the difference was amazing - like a candle to a spotlight difference. My one was rated at 25,000LM.
@dogboy: Depend of which LED it uses. Your is probably a T6 or XHP50, plenty bright though. Mine uses a xhp50 with 3 18650, still not as bright as the olight s1r baton on turbo with 1000 real lumens so I guess it’s anywhere between 500-800 lumens.

I have probably the older one (mine had a blue strap). Really great brightness, mine had two different levels, low and really bright. Battery lasts a while too.
