Which Retail Store Has The Best Warranty Policy on Phones?

I'm looking to purchase either a Pixel 4 XL or an iPhone 11, but the decision that is almost as important is which store to buy from, to ensure that I'll get the best support in terms of repairs or exchanges. For example, I'd prefer not to receive a refurbished phone as a replacement (if possible).

Decided the best place to ask would be OzBargain. Appreciate any help.

My options are JB, Officeworks, Harvey Norman, good guys, target, big w, apple, Google online store (sending phone in would be a pain).

How often do your phones break?!

  • A good thing to keep in mind is that some credit cards have screen damage insurance if you purchase on the card (i.e. AMEX). Really useful as some of these screens costs terrible amounts to fix.

  • You can't expect to get a new handset if you need to use the warranty a year after you bought it …

Also half the stores you listed don't even sell the Pixel 4 XL

Apple is probably the best. Especially if you can access one of their stores locally.

  • For an iPhone any of the retailer you listed is good, as you can just for directly to Apple for repair or replacement

  • Google online store (sending phone in would be a pain).

If you're going a pixel, then the google store, as it does advance shipments on repairs. ie they send you a refreb phone, you send your old one back in.

So you're never really left without a phone, unless it drops totally dead.

  • Definitely not jb hifi

If it's an Apple product, doesn't matter where you buy it from. You'll get top notch service at any Apple store.

      • What if it's a Google product

        • Never needed to buy one so no clue.
