Zynga Data Breach - 173 Million Accounts Affected

For those unaware, it has been announced Zynga the created of Words With Friends has had their servers breached and the email addresses, usernames, and passwords of 173M people stolen.

    • Breach was announced in September without the data, now that data has been released and therefore brute force attacks will start.

    Sucks.. I just knew I should have went for the fillet burger inatead.

  • Hashed passwords. Of course, still a risk if the hashing algorithm is known and a reverse lookup table is generated.

    • Just adding a seed makes it much harder.

  • Where do I log in to 'reset password'? I can't find it.
    Also, I don't recall putting an email or password to play 'Words With Friends' on my smartphone many years ago

    • It might have been linked to your facebook? Same issue about logging in too, think it has to be done through an app which is ridiculous.
