Best 4k HDR (Max 42") TV to Use as a Monitor?

I've been having a nightmare few years with my Dell U3014 monitor connected to 2 PC's via HDMI and going through a Yamaha RX-V779 receiver (for audio and switching).

Like the Dell before it, it has issues accepting the input and makes clicking sounds trying to accept the signal (sometimes I have to wait for hours before it locks in).

Since no decent monitors with HDR exist I've decided that I'll get a small TV (this should also make it play better with the receiver). Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for a good small TV for this purpose?

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

  • LG, Philip, Dell, Acer, BenQ and I'm sure others all make HDR 4k monitors. I'll admit I haven't looked at any of them so I'm curious as why none of these are decent?

    • At best they all have bad HDR and are too small (I want MINIMUM 32" in 16:9 or 16:10)

Basically there are no monitors with decent HDR except for the Apple one which. is outstanding but also for professionals and priced accordingly.

You can have a look at rtings.com for a good list.

Oh and I think you missed the part about my suspicion that monitors do not work well with AV receivers.
