Oral B replacement heads (original)? Need advice!

Hi guys,

I was recently given a new Oral B Triumph 9500DLX from a friend (who a already has a better model) but unfortunately given to me with no brush heads. I've looked on ebay and thought I found some at a great price but was advised that most cheap ones are fake and normally don't last as long as the originals and are prone to breaking easily.

I've used just a standard toothbrush all my life so don't know where to begin. I normally use a hard bristled toothbrush and I rarely floss.

Any advice on where is the cheapest to buy original replacement heads (online or instore) and what type would suit me best?

Thanks in advance.

Costco have a special on at the moment (valid until tomorrow 14th July) for a 10 pack (8 standard precision clean heads + 2 Flossheads) for $32.99 (normally $39.99)

Otherwise, Target have a current sale on their Oral B Brush heads at 25% off at $18.70 for 4 pack standard precision clean heads

If you're near Chatswood, Roy Young chemist at Westfield sells them at similar Target discounted prices all year round.

i personally like the Pro White brushes (for whitening) but your safest bet is to get the standard precision head cleaners to try it out first

It matters what fake ones you get.

Some fake ones last longer than the original OralB.

  • I've had fake ones that fell apart after about 10 uses-they generally don't fit well (you have to jam them on) but I have a local market where i get (genuine???) 3 brushes for $10 and they last as well as the originals.

    • Yer they are fake, but like I said above, they work just fine.

You could be getting real ones, but they probably been stolen :O

  • Check out the Shaver Shop (most shopping centres have them I think) or http://shavershop.com.au/. They have sales on from time to time and they generally stock everything. I've also seen them at K-Mart but can't comment on the price. I think you should "budget" $4-5 each for standard genuine ones, e.g. http://www.shavershop.com.au/products/accessories14/31bonusp… (4 for $18.50), 20c cheaper than the Target deal above :).

  • Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Ended up going to Costco yesterday (here in Melbourne) and getting the value pack for $33 as kasumi168 suggested. What a nightmare to get out the parking lot at closing time!

Never realized so many places them so I will keep the some of the other places in mind when I run out of these.

  • I have purchased fakes off ebay advertised as genuine and they were rubbish. Lasted a while, but terrible fit and kept falling off while trying to brush!

  • $2.50 for a pack of 4 genuine brush heads @ Coles Reservoir

heaps of stock as I write this
