CarbonThat Cases - Anyone used them?

Hey guys,

Looking at picking up a case for my Huawei Mate20, and came across carbonthat. They look pretty nice (not cheap though), but with a bit of a search I'm not finding much info or many reviews on them. Has anyone on here used them? Are there better options? I've had spigen cases on my last 2 phones which were fine, just not particularly cool and one of them would hit my screen protector.

Thanks

  • Not sure there's many people on OzBargain who are willing to drop $50 on a phone case (I did but that was for my TDE case for my Pixel 4 as I wanted a personalised phone case; my other Pixel 4 case is a Spigen Ultra Hybrid, same as my last two mobiles)

Probably just reselling AliExpress. Have you looked up carbon fiber cases for Mate 20 on AliExpress?
High chance it's the same case but 10 timer more cheaper.

    • Their website states that they're full carbon fibre, and from the (limited) reviews I've seen they all seem legit, but obviously with a lot more cost than knock offs

The problem with real carbon fibre cases is you get the exact same look with a cheap plastic case so it doesn't look any better nor does it actually function any better. It's also probably cheaper to buy direct. So why bother paying a premium?

    • How? They don't make them for the OP's phone

      • Meh I was joking anyway.

I don't see how they are 100% carbon fibre cases, is there no TPU lining to absorb impact damage? Do there cases only protect from scratches?

  • Hmm the company is banned on OzBargain so that's a red flag itself.

That being said, I agree with others. They're most likely reselling from AliExpress and at a crazy markup.
