My braun series 7 has died. Been faithful for 15 years. Did an ok job to be honest due to how my facial hair grows.
Any recommendations? I jumped on shavershop and product review to work out a starting point. As the reviews are polar opposite of each other which confused the hell out of me.

My last couple Braun's lasted 10 and 8 years. I'm currently using another which has been good for around 5 years but I have replaced the foil on this one. The current ones use a lithium ion battery so they should last longer between charges and hopefully the battery will last a decent number of years. They're still made in Germany if that means anything.
What mode you got
@bemybubble: The Series 5 equivalent of the one in the deal above from 5 years ago. It's got a different cutter and foil and uses NiMH batteries.

I’m now very happy with Braun.
Braun series 8 still going after 15 years. Braun series 7 lasted 18 months.
Just got a Panasonic for Christmas, haven't used it yet. But did notice you can't direct power the unit. The Braun i have, even though the battery ran out of juice a few years ago, i can still direct power to use as a corded unit.
