Guys need your help with finding a reasonably priced laptop for year 5 student.
Schools BYOD Specs / Requirement
OS: Windows 10, Mac OSX, iOS 9.0 or later
Software / Apps: Microsoft Office 2016, PDF Viewer, GSuite App (Google App)
Wireless Connectivity: 802.11n 5GHz
Storage & RAM: Minimum 128GB HDD or SDD, 4GB RAM (8GB preferred)
Display: No smaller than 11 inches
Pointer: Touch Screen, Track Pad
Weight: 2 Kg maximum
Any help/ advice will be highly appreciated.
Don't pay for office. You can download it it for free using your child's education email address.
Also if going windows, get at least 8gb ram. 4gb just doesn't cut it. By the time he/she turns on the laptop and opens the file ,the rest of the class will be finished the task.
Ideally I'd like to spend under $700 but there are way too many lappys in that price range too confusing for me.
I'd consider this from the Dell Outlet for $579. Much better than your requirements.
They come with Dell warranty .
Does the school have a deal with a retailer or supplier? Some schools do which makes it easier to choose and the supplier often offers on-site support if something goes wrong
How much you want to spend ?
I think most 13-14 inch laptops will fit those requirements
