Need to return an item do I lose cashback from Cashrewards?

I bought 5 items in one purchase and had Cashrewards active. I need to return 1 item from the 5. Do I lose all the cashback, or just for that particular item, does anyone know?

    I think I have returned items and the cash rewards has remained in my rewards account.

    For Shopback, I exchanged an item from the Iconic for a smaller size, and still got the cashback.

    You'll be safer if you exchange the item for another one, or if that's not possible, then at least exchange for store credit.

    If the merchant invalids a pending commission because of an returned item, then CR will not receive the commission to share with you. In other words, if CR gets paid, then you get paid. The decision is actually out of CR's hands.
