Budget Linen Sheets, Target or IKEA?

Hi all,

Having recently moved to qld in looking to get into the wonderful world of linen sheets.

I've noticed both ikea and target sell 100% linen at a much cheaper prices than some of the big name brands.

My question is, has anyone tried these cheaper linen sheets? How do they feel and how do they go with weekly washing?

I have an ikea down quilt and cotton quilt cover and it is quite nice to the hand, but sheets and quilt covers are very different.

Thanks in advance.

  • Spotlight have 50% off sheet sets right now.

  • Harris Scarfe have sheet sets from 55% - 65% off in their latest catalogue.

  • Thanks but neither of those places sell Linen. The sheets are mostly cotton or a cotton blend

  • +1

I bought the Lilah 100% linen set at target. They’re the only linen I own and I think they’re pretty good for the price but can’t compare it to the more exy ones eg Bed Threads, etc. See it as an introduction to linen.

  • Haven't tried Target or Ikea (only because Ikea didn't have the colour/ size that I wanted) but I do have a set from Aldi, and they stack up well against my Sheridan linen sheet sets. It's only been a couple of years, though, so I can't speak to longevity. Still, they were less than a third of the price, so if they last at least a third of the length of time that the Sheridan ones last I'll come out even.

  • I was looking at them on sale on the Sheridan outlet website today for $99. I haven't had the chance to google around to see if that's a good price or not. I have never used linen before but I'd really like to give them a try.

  • I bought my budget linen at H&M they were discounted. Not bad but dont know how they compare to others
