adidas Ultraboost 4.0 Core Black $149.95 (Save $90) + Other Styles @ Footlocker

190

I know we all love our Ultraboosts but a lot of the recent colourways on sale have been garbage so this one is a nice relief.

A bunch of other styles are on sale also: https://www.footlocker.com.au/en/search?q=ultraboost&SearchP…

Core Black is a great 'everyday' colour

Why are these shoes so popular on OZB? Are they actually any good for running?

      • +6

They give you an ultra boost when running.

So other then branding and marketing name nothing special.

@Melb69: The boost midsole is really comfortable and has good energy return.
The shoe has a nice silhouette and is popular if you're into the athleisure style.
Some runners really like the shoe, the usual complaint I think is that the knitted upper of the shoe can allow a little too much movement to make running comfortable.

@Melb69: Sounds like it based on the other replies yep. Still a saving compared to normal price - but you can just buy cheaper shoes if you're not sucked in by marketing and the need to fit in with the popular crowd.

@Melb69: Really depends on the individual. I bought a pair of these to try and found they suit my feet really well and have solved a back soreness problem I've had for a while. They are very comfortable, and the springiness of the midsole has made other athletic shoes I own feel jarring in comparison.
I run in them and also wear them casually, I like them that much.
It's worth trying on a pair next time you're near a sports shop just to feel what they're like.

      • Fashion, comfort. Haven't tested these for running personally as I pride them on looks alone

      • I have UB4 and 2 pairs of UB19s

UB19s are crap and the inner soles continually move inside the shoe, bend and are crap. But it's the design of the shoe causing this.

        Overall 5/10 rating.

        • Is there a better shoe you'd personally recommend for anyone considering Ultraboosts?

      • +1

They are pretty decent for running although if you are into running seriously, you might want to consider other shoes. On the other hand, I think they look really nice so I can wear them in non-sport occasion.

      • Anything "Boost" is popular on OzB these days ;)

      • Not good for running but comfy everyday walking shoe

  • Heres a link sorted by cheapest: https://www.footlocker.com.au/en/search?q=ultraboost&SearchP… - Can get UB19 for 119.95 + Postage. Minimum spend for free shipping is $150.

Thanks OP - grabbed one. Been waiting for a decent deal on UB 4.0 since they are pretty rare now.

The UB'19 are same price too but I prefer the 4.0 model.

  • There is also a shipping cost for this $10, as it's not over $150. Shame.

  • $149.95 doesn't count as >$150 for free shipping :\
