[Free] VicEmergency @ App Store/Google Play Store

Moved to Forum: Original Link

I'm aware this doesn't come under the normal OzBargain guidelines, but given what's currently unfolding in Victoria's outer eastern region, I feel like this community is a good place to share it. I know several people who are unaware of its availability. Frankly, I think it should be pre-loaded onto every Australian phone but that's just me.

Here’s hoping humans and animals stay as safe as possible, but realistically there will be sad news inbound.

You're absolutely right, but so many people don't look there.

      • That's too bad then. Just look at the reviews. The app is horrible.

I find it quite useful, but I can understand some of the complaints found in the user reviews.

I just thought it would be a good way to share something that might help folks who were otherwise unaware, particularly given what's happening today.

Although I must admit I do get irritated when a free ice-cream for the first 100 customers is ok to post, but an exception can't be made for a service which is so important in Victoria.

Don't get me wrong, I get it. The rules, etc. I do. But… y'know.

            @bushywookiee:

The former is a deal. The latter is a free app that is always free. Plus you know, rules.

            Forum please.

            • @serpserpserp: As I said, I completely understand why this was moved to the forums, and I actually agree with what OzBargain defines as a deal for the most part.

I was just trying to promote something important for everyone in Victoria. That’s all.

And yes, I know this site isn’t for promotions. But today was a bad day for Victoria.

              Anyway, onwards and upwards.

  • I prefer the mobile website, but given the current situation, the app and its alerts (and your ability to select an area to receive alerts) is far more important than other preferences.

    Stay safe all.

Big thanks to the mods for upholding the rules.

Without rules there will be chaos.
