Sydney No Kill Animal Shelters

Happy New Year Everyone!

A silky terrier that was abandoned by its owners in Front of my house last night

I simply cannot take in another animal and would like to take it to a no kill shelter.

The dog is not chipped and pining - definitely an indoor dog.

I have looked online to try and find one

Is anyone interested - can anyone help out please?

Sydney Dogs and Cats Home is the only not-for-profit Pound in Sydney. We pride ourselves on never placing a time limit on any animal awaiting adoption

    • How much does it cost to surrender an animals? The website doesn’t list any fees.

      • No idea, I just did a quick google search.

    • Unfortunately they only take animals from certain council areas and my council area (Bankstown) is not one of them

Go there tomorrow morning at 09:25 and leave the animal at the front door. They’ll have no choice but to take the animal into their care.

I mean… this is pretty true. They will take it. Who is to say you weren’t just driving through the area and found the dog?

Try a breed specific rescue, they often have people in every state.

      Thank you som much!

I posted on their site and within the hour they had come back to me having located the owner. Max is now safely back with his family. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

"A silky terrier that was abandoned by its owners in Front of my house last night". Bit misleading now.

      • Who doesn’t microchip their animals? What $30? And is a requirement for council registration.

Good he’s back with his family for his sake, but the owners really don’t deserve to have him back.

We got our nutty but lovable maltese from there
