Help Finding a Quality 40-42mm Chronograph Watch

Hey Ozbargainers,

Need some anonymous online fashion advice…

I'm looking to get a new watch, preferably blaaack and automatic if possible. I have small wrists so anything above a 42mm looks like a dinner plate on my wrist.

I really like this watch https://hoffmanwatches.com/pages/racing-40 but being such a small brand feel like its somewhat of a gamble.

Hoping anyone could advise any good watches around the $400 or less mark?

Cheers,

Squeeze

  • Hamilton make some quality auto. I don’t think they have a Daytona clone though

    • beautiful watches but well outside the $400 range from what I can tell

Yeah you are right. You can’t these days.

How about the seiko 5 series, they are quite cheap and reliable

  • Orient make some nice ones $2-250

  • Melbourne Watch Company.

  • anything that runs the seiko mecaquartz movt.

Or save for a eta 7750 thing.

  • You cannot go wrong with Seiko, but my recommendation would be to look at something from Tissot. The watches sit between $500 and $650. Often you can find them on sale at Angus and Coote.
