That isn't a great deal, Coles and sell 24 packs of this water for $8.40 at the moment.

Or you can just buy no name water 24 pack for about $6. Or drink out of the tap.

Or you can just buy no name water 24 pack for about $6. Or drink out of the tap.

Or you can fill your bottle from the kitchen sink for about sweet bugga all!!!

      • +3

        and not add to landfill…

        • +1

or the carbon footprint of transporting and bottling the water ……

    Harder better faster stronger

I swear I've seen this mentioned in a deal description before…

    • +2

      I think I prefer JV's bold gimmick.

    • Buy it, own it, drink it - Harder better faster stronger

      Precisely ten words.

  • Isn't Mount Franklin Still Water 20 x 500mL at $7.70 a better buy?

    • -4

It's all just filtered tap water. No name is the best deal and the same stuff. If you insist on buying bottled water.

      • No it’s not, all filtered tap water, Coca Cola extracts a lot of it at peats ridge from underground bore/spring water. Pays local council bugger all and wants to extract more.

        • It is typically sourced from municipal tap water, which is then run through carbon filters to remove the chlorine (which improves the taste) and sometimes a micron filter as well. After the filtering, it is ozonated and bottled. In essence, filtered water is quite similar to spring water.

The same 24 pack was $5 in woolies last week and I think i saw it for $6 in Coles this week

  • +3

Was about to buy it but realised this is the 12 pack and not 24x600mL. You can sometimes get 24 back of the Frantelle ones for about $7 on sale.

(ie this is not a great bargain unless you really want it delivered)

    • +1

It’s currently on sale at Coles - 24 pack for 6 bucks.

      • Oops too late to change my comment but I vaguely recall it being around the $6-$7 range hence why I thought Amazon must be beating that at <$5 until I read closer!

  • +7

Stop buying water people's!!! The tap is the real bargain!!

    • +3

People who buy bottled water are flippin fools :(

      • +2

Lol my local water is trash taste, I put a under sink filter in. Costs about $30 every 8-10 months for filters but I don't need to buy water so winning.

    • +1

and lower carbon footprint so better for the planet ……

    • +2

How much water do you use washing up your drink bottles?

      • about 0.001 cents worth to rinse my drink bottle.
or just put in the dishwasher with other stuff you need to wash anyway, than it’s even less to rinse the bottle.

  • +1

20pack, often $5 in VIC. Woolies
24 pack often $6 at COles, and is at the moment

    • Ditto Tas. I was thinking about posting it as a deal.

  • +2

Well at least you can say this is a much better price than what’s being charged in some of the communities that have been devastated by the fires- https://imgur.com/a/xmMkflS

    • Lol so we are getting that man's a dress and sending him a pack? Rofl imagine 100-200 packs of water with the gift message ozbargain just turn up. The apostle would hate that man rofl

  • +3

The thought police are out in force again…..

But don’t touch a their Coca Cola or Dominos….

      How so?

People are like lemmings. Very few people these days think for themselves.

Moderation on OzBargain just worsens it by removing any ideas that aren't consistent with the group think.

As Joker said, comedy is subjective - but on OzBargain, if you don't follow what society deems acceptable, you are banished….

So many objectors on OzBargain that have never posted a single deal, but will happily tell others what to eat, what to drink, what to worship, what to think, what to say….

        • "These days" style complaints about generalised behaviours that's changes through time is futile.

The complaint applies to the greater internet! Forums, social channels, website communities all evolve for the good/bad. It's inevitable, think about the mass neggs for youfoodz but people happily buy/upvote companies/brands that have committed atrocious things. People are strange and usually seek acceptance from their community by agreeing with the majority. Usually that means a echo chamber

    Bottled water is bad?

I wonder how many of you buy cheap crap from China which end up in landfill 🤷🤷

  • Anyone know who supplies the Coles/Woolies water? Always wondered if there was any significant difference between it and Frantelle/Mount Franklin?

    • Different tap with a filter.

  • So much plastic.

  • 12 packs. Passed.

  • +1

Aldi is selling their mineral water at 39c a litre as opposed to ~69c per litre for this deal.

I still prefer filling bottles at 0.00029c a litre (in Sydney) at home before heading out!

  • i understand people buying sparkling water if they don’t have a soda stream, but still water ….use the tap.

    • -4

Yep tap water is full of good nutrients like cryptospiridium

  • Good for picnics and bbq.

  • +1

Terrible deal can buy at 24 pack on sale at coles or woolies for >$7

    • -1

I was in woolies yesterday didn’t see anything at the store. Do you have a link?

      • Dont be a smarty pants mate, if you were a true ozbarginer youd know this wasnt a good deal

  • Yeah nah this isn't a bargain, more cost effective options through the big 2 supermarkets.

  • we seem to have taken single use bags out of the system in some states to stop them entering the waterways, land fill, etc.
the plastic from these drink bottles is worse in the water ways and land fill but people make money selling bottled water, so there isnt a move to discourage bottled water …….30 years ago there wasn’t much bottled water on the shelves, it’s asahi, coca cola , etc creating a market where there wasn’t one.
