eBay Plus $50 gift card sign up

Hi,

Has anyone else had issues receiving their $50 gift card sign up bonus? I've waited several weeks for mine, and still haven't got it.

I called eBay last week, to which they offered me a $50 "voucher". The voucher would have to be used in a single transaction and within 30 days of generation. Whereas, a gift card is much more flexible (multiple transactions, longer expiry). I asked them to provide a gift card, given that was the original deal, and they said they'd get back to me. It's been a few days now, and I'll follow up again soon.

Just wondering if others have had a similar experience and what happened?

Also, another thing I thought was interesting is that they charged me $48.99, rather than $49 for sign up. Did that happen to anyone else?

I got charged $48.99 as well. Gift card arrived within a few days. Are you able to use the $50 voucher to purchase a gift card?

lol. They specifically said over the phone that the voucher can't be used to buy gift cards.

I suppose the voucher isn't bad, if I was going to spend it in one hit though.

  • I got charged $48.99 few days ago.Now I can see a $5 voucher in my account but no sign of $50 gift card.I need to contact them in next couple of days.

    • I got it by email. You don’t see anything on your eBay account

  • Hi, I waited about 7 days and got my $50 gift card via email.

  • Contact support and get it followed up. I had issues receiving mine and got a voucher for it instead.

  • I signed up and the T&C says it takes up to 19 days. After 19 days I still do not receive it and I contacted eBay. The customer service person issued me a voucher and said it is only for eBay plus items but I showed them in the T&C it never said that and they changed the voucher to be valid for all items on eBay.

"11. The voucher entitles you to AUD $50 off the total purchase price for one transaction on eBay.com.au."
