We have been advised that we would be getting FTTC nbn very shortly in our area in Melbourne’s south east suburb of Knoxfield.
I am looking for a reliable nbn service provider and wanted some guidance from people who already have an FTTC connection.
I currently have the unlimited cable internet from Optus and paying about $99 pm and don’t mind spending the same amount for nbn 100 speed but need the service to be reliable.
Can someone please suggest the best providers?

Bit of sweet talking and Telstra will do 100/40, unlimited data for $90 on the NBN with a free smart modem.

If It's only just about to be connected, go with Aussie - you can use their preorder process online, and you'll get a code for the 1st month free. In case you have an issue with the process (I'm going through the same in Boronia right now), their support is super helpful - much easier to deal with than most ISPs.

Recently had FTTC connected. Went with Aussie Broadband and haven't looked back, found them to be really reliable. You'll pay about the same as you did for Optus for the 100/40 plan (or $89 pm instead if you'd rather go with 100/20 instead of 100/40), but you can usually get a discount on the first 6 months. Can't recommend them highly enough.
