Mavic Pro Kit for Sales but Can't Verify

I need some help. there is a mavic pro kit 2 batteries. The seller want a very cheap price. The problem is that the seller is very far away…in Armidale. I am in the city.

I have no way to verify the think works or even if the post is real. I have the serial number. Other than "dont bother" is there anything I can do to verify that this is a real item or to protect myself.

Seller also want to do bank transfer and not paypal…

…is there anything I can do to verify that this is a real item or to protect myself.

You can go for a drive up there if you think you're saving enough to make it worth it your while.

I have no way to verify the think works or even if the post is real.

Then don't do it. Once your money is gone, it's gone.

  • All of this I know.Been screwed a once or twice before…

Anyone in Armidale willing to check this out for me. I know no one actually knows me :) fingers crossed

    • Are you asking someone to do it for free or are you willing to bank transfer some money for the task?

    • Anyone in Armidale willing to check this out for me. I know no one actually knows me :)

Now the truth comes out - you can ask for help without beating around the bush! lol :p

  • Asking for trouble

  • Walk away…

At least for once this post is before the purchase.

You could ask for a photo of the seller holding the thing in front of today's newspaper (or perhaps a computer screen showing today's news). Do a web image search (e.g. tineye) for the pictures they've used to check if they're copying someone else's pictures. Get their phone number, call them (phone numbers need ID when you sign up, so if you get scammed you can report something to the police at least).

As a seller, I wouldn't accept PayPal either - too many scam buyers that demand refunds.

But you know what they say - if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

  • Even if someone was to look at them, there is no way to verify condition unless seller also has the drone and is willing to sho the battery health for each when installed

    • Your other option is to use an Escrow service to protect both parties.

  • user seems to have been deactivated as I thought they would have.

    Too good to be true
