Just down at my local Coles and found they are clearing out coke energy drinks for 20 cents each. Coles Cairnlea if anyone wants any.
Possible all Coles are doing the same.

I'm amazed this ever got passed the days of tasting freebies. I got one for free and it was disgusting.

How much energy in it?
Coke's energy drink has caffeine, guarana and B vitamins, but lacks taurine or glucuronolactone. So it's half the energy of an energy drink, kind of like V Pure with Coke instead of apple juice.
Energy and stimulants are different
I actually liked this stuff.
Only had a couple since release as energy drinks are not my thing, but I thought they tasted like the old Cola lollies I'd get as a kid.Yeah I didn't mind it either! But can definitely see why people didn't like it. Has a similar herbal taste to the original 'mother' which was touted as a more natural energy drink.
Nobody liked it and now it tastes like sherbet. People still don't really like it much.
Critics are always way more vocal and I guess it was a knee-jerk reaction after the masses complained about the taste, to change the receipe and make it taste exactly like every other energy drink. Wasn't much of a fan myself but at least it was something different I guess. I find almost all energy drinks way too sweet now; I'd rather just make an espresso if I want a caffeine hit lol.
I like energy drinks but I am self aware enough to resent myself for it :-P
Yeah it was totally kneejerk. But I think it was beyond saving. I have a quirky palette and I thought it was gross.
Me too.
It's much cheaper than Red Bull and gives an 80mg caffeine hit.
I don't find any added taste satisfaction from drinking a Red Bull compared to this.
Wish I lived in Vic, so I could stock up on the 20c cans.
What would happen if you drank this all day every day?
Too much of anything will kill you.
I’d suspect you’d have a heart attack if you drank too much.
I can't help but think that all of the people complaining about it's taste are used to drinking the normal/original Coke, which is obviously loaded with sugar and shouldn't be compared.
Good drink as an energy drink, tastes is mild compared to other brands but you still get the kick. For those who prefer a more medicine-y taste.
I think this failed because the price was way too high as a new player. Other brands know this and they come in large 500ml cans to compensate for the usual energy drink prices ~$3.50. I guess this is Coke being arrogant thinking the brand meant something.
