For the audio gadget pupil.

Apparently will have signature Klipsch sound.

Also Sony already has the XM3, so they came out with a car concept.

Hopefully it will surpass Sony and be the new king.

    • I thought it was possible before, but it seems Sony’s WH-1000XM3 still has LDAC & it’s proprietary noise-cancelling chip (HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1).
They are pretty tough to beat (the article is always too ambitious).

    • Who cares though, they're already $50 more expensive than the Sony RRP and without the retailer open price channels to slash prices. How much more will they have to surpass the Sony to justify the price?

For those reasons the Bose 700 have bombed.

      • I think aesthetically, they look better so sonically, all they have to do is be on par and they'll be a worthy contender.

I don't have the XM3 but my other Sony gear have terrible app integration and generally not user friendly.

        • Worthy yes, but new king I don't think so.

Especially since they aim to compete with the M3 which is ~2yrs old and with the M4 scheduled for release around April-June.

    • I somehow doubt any headphone will really overtake in NC. In other areas most headphones are better than XM3 already though. So it's really just up to what style of sound signature you want.

      • Yes it seems majority (my guess around 80%) will go with the XM3, and are extremely happy with how it sounds.
Around 20% I estimate are after something more different / high-end sounding, therefore the market is much smaller.
So going by this XM3 is basically king.

  • Is it me or do these things look exactly like the Microsoft Surface NC headphones. The question is how good will the audio quality, nc, microphone for calls, and multiple device connectivity be like.

    • The Surface NC headphones were a completely round cup design if I remember correctly.

  • Also, I think these were announced at CES 2020.
