My experience with this sign-on bonus rubbish is jacked rates every year and no contact until you threaten to leave waiting on the phone for hours with a dodgy retailer even when they offer discount rates to new sign ups only all under the guise of price increases
Find a retailer with consistently discounted low rates with good response rate / support since you often have to threaten to move every year and stick with them
I'm doing this with Origin every year and am particularly happy with the gas usage rate since it's been the same for years
