    To answer my own question, yes. These are safe to use with the Nintendo Switch.

    Funny enough I tested a few USB C cables the other day. The no name ones didn't charge the switch at all, while the name ones did. I'm assuming Nintendo disabled charging when there's no 56k resistor. Not sure though.
