After Flights from Melb to Gold Coast October

As above, after cheap flights for the above route. For 2 adults and 2 kids. As there are not too many options for cheap flights these days (ie little competition), what is a good price to pay per ticket? Anyone know when Tiger are flying back to and from the Gold Coast? Maybe that may sharpen the prices…..

    • Cool will setup the alerts from this website.

Anyone know when Tiger opens up more of their routes?

      • they will add their flight at the end of august

        • I suspect it'll be the Wed 31 Aug
When you search for flights before then, it says "Sorry, no available flights departing on this date."
but after then, it has flight times, but they're all flagged as "Sold Out"

So Op, I'd wait until the end of this week as I suspect they'll announce the comeback & have cheap flights to boot! Jetstar & Virgin have upped there fares between Mel<->GC by around 30% since Tiger departed.

  • You could try waiting for a sale, however I'm pretty sure the prices start to go up with about 4 weeks to go.

    • Think the accomoadation deal that the wife wants closes on Friday, so was hoping to lock in flights before then. What do u mean their prices go up with 4 weeks to go? 4 weeks before departure time?

      • this friday?

        • Soz what d u mean this Friday?

      • Well I know that booking really last minute is always more expensive, but 4 weeks before departure is just my guesstimate as to when they start to bump up prices - it could be closer to 4 days and it's probably different for each airline, and plus tiger isn't in the picture so maybe that has changed the algorithms a little. Sorry I wasn't very clear or if I'm being confusing, perhaps I'm confused myself :-$.

Maybe have browse at prices for each of the next 4 weeks to get an idea of how much they will put the fares up for flights as time ticks closer to the departure date, however school holidays are notorious for more expensive fares which can complicate it a little more. Pretty sure that most airlines will increase prices for each flight as the seats start to fill up - to encourage people to book on the other emptier flights.

  • Supabrudda, yeh I did notice the flights a bit dearer than normal, so assumed that was due to lack of Tiger in the air.
