Somehow I don't think this mob will honour price error deals but good luck to those who want to try ;-)

  • +2

Don't bother wasting your time/effort, they never honour price-errors - here, here & here

    • +1

They're either really really clumsy, or it's some grassroots stealth advertising

      • +1

I'm assuming prices are automatically adjusted based on various factors (ie. price-matching competitor etc).

    • That third link made my day. Ah, the joy of schadenfreude.

  • It seems the product is not in stock and unlikely they will honour it.

    Good spotting though.

Purchased just so I can be part or angry crowd when they don't honour it

  • Bought 2 using paypal and let us see what will happen

Was gonna buy 3 but can't be bothered wasting my time and having to wait a week to get my $55 back.

  • Dead link now

  • They pulled it :(

  • I purchased one via PayPal from your second link. I doubt it will be honored but its worth a shot.

    • Update - I got the cancelled email. I asked for a refund.

  • cancelled. refunded.

not even an explanation? where are my hypothetical vouchers?

    • i had to ask for an explanation

      supplier listing error

      still no hypothetical vouchers

  • Probably supposed to be $760.00

    • I think RRP is $2199 for this model

  • I'm amazed at how people think they are entitled to compensation when they know they are buying a product with an obvious price error.

Amazon might be one thing because if its size and merchants, but I view a free voucher as a nice surprise rather than an expectation.

But hey, congrats you've given a company free advertising which is exactly what they're after.

Let's not forget Bunning's Mavic Pro price error ;-)

      • Which was an exception not an expectation ;)

        • +1

True, we should not have expectation on price errors, bonus if we get it, otherwise nothing gained, nothing lost… as long as we don't lose $ from trying (damn you Qantas Frequent Flyers :-p )

are 'people' me? i think i and the op are the only ones who mentioned vouchers

how are we to know it is a price error until they tell us? - for all we knew maybe they accidentally ordered 50,000 of them instead of 5,000 and need to clear the warehouse asap.

But hey, congrats you've given a company free advertising which is exactly what they're after.

so maybe they could pay for it a little with vouchers? doesn't seem unreasonable to me

I'm amazed at how people think they are entitled to compensation
I view a free voucher as a nice surprise rather than an expectation.

i don't see anyone here who feels entitled to compensation, or anyone who had an expectation of vouchers. i called them hypothetical, and the op called them a maybe.

where are these 'people' who amaze you?

I find it funny how you've deleted your comment now.
        Upon seeing

You'll normally get some free vouchers out of it though

You said "where are my hypothetical vouchers" and even contacted support for it. Surprise, surprise when you didn't get a voucher.

        I call that an expectation.

By the way, I wasn't even meaning you I was saying in general from many previous posts but seeing as you decided to make it all about yourself, there you go.

        Also this

how are we to know it is a price error until they tell us?

        Is just laughable.
Even if they ordered too many of a $2199 RRP product, they are not going to sell them for $7.60 each 😂😂
OP at least realised it was a pricing error when posting it.

sigh i suspected you may try this, and that i should leave the comment alone, but i let my anxiety get the best of me.

i did not delete my comment - i replaced it out of privacy paranoia - because for some reason it could no longer be edited.
it contained an email that possibly had only been sent to me and so megabuy would be able to link me to my username - which didn't actually matter but as i said - paranoia.

          1. all i did in the replacement was remove the quoted email, the rest is the same
and 2. the quoted email NEVER contained any mention of vouchers because I NEVER asked them for vouchers

and even contacted support for it.

i did not. i replied to the cancellation email simply asking for an explanation - as both comments state/stated.
they responded that it had been a sellers listing error - which is exactly what was quoted in the previous comment.
if you have a memory disorder that mistake is understandable as i have now removed the quoted email, but it is still an incorrect assumption.

By the way, I wasn't even meaning you I was saying in general from many previous posts but seeing as you decided to make it all about yourself, there you go.

as i said only i and the op mentioned vouchers, so that's a pretty unfair generalisation on everyone else here

Also this how are we to know it is a price error until they tell us? Is just laughable. Even if they ordered too many of a $2199 RRP product, they are not going to sell them for $7.60 each 😂😂 OP at least realised it was a pricing error when posting it.

          ok laugh at me. shrug

@bargain huntress: I'm going to be honest here, I'm not going to read all that lol.
            Cool story bro. Nice neg.

@pennypincher98: i think we agree life is too short.

you go work on your feelings of superiority, and i'll go work on my anxiety and irritability
