AusPost Missing Package - Anybody Received a Package from "Bluestar Connect"?

Hey team,

Random situation. I have a tracked package that Australia Post has lost (about two weeks overdue). The odd part is that I have no idea what it is! AusPost is being of no help (even though the tracking clearly states it's stuck somewhere in their Sydney warehouse) and suggested I get in touch with the seller.

The Sender is listed as BlueStar Connect (which is a logistics company), and it was lodged in Melbourne Jan 6. The BlueStar website doesn't recognise the tracking number.

All I can think is it's something random Ive bought via ozbargain, because it's not something I'm expecting from eBay/ Amazon/ AliExpress. Has anyone received a package of that description?

And how hard can I push AusPost given it was tracked, even if I don't have the seller details?

Thanks!!!

Scam? Parcel does not exist? Which email address is the tracking advice from?

I had something back in Nov from Bluestar. I think it was the Google Chromecast from Woolies.

Yep, pretty sure they sent my nest mini from woolies

    • Thanks. Didn't order one of those, or anything from Woolies or Google.

I ordered a Google nest from Telstra and a USBC/3.5mm adaptor from Google, but they both had their own tracking numbers and a different address

PS was that part of a Woolies Promo?

Woolies spent $x for 4 weeks. Ppl have different spend thresholds

        • Ah, thanks. Wasn't part of that.

Have also sent another email to AusPost and one to BlueStar hoping they can help me out. Hopefully BlueStar aren't as slow as AusPost in getting back to me.

If its nothing you're expecting…… then sit tight and wait, it'll show up one day ;)

      funny story,

a friend of mine, his parents moved from Sydney to London and had a container of their belongings shipped over.. it somehow went awol and couldn't be found.. insurance replaced all their belongings and 5 years later gets a call from a random ship yard in the middle of nowhere asking for payment and storage fees which amounted to 10's of thousands of dollars… parents said they could keep it as they didn't wat it anymore.

a fast forward another 12 months and the shipping container was sitting on the doorstep of the parents house free of charge.

apparently it was cheaper for the guy to send the parents the container than to get rid of its contents,

      • hahaha that is a funny storey indeed. So 6 years late, but hey it arrived :)

        Does sound like auspost indeed!

  • Turned up! It was only some materials I'd ordered for work from BeyondBlue. Fun story, it actually did get delivered a while ago, but AusPost still thinks it's somewhere in their Sydney Warehouse. The BlueStar Connect customer service were really helpful and pointed me in the way of the sender within a few hours. Thanks team!
