These Malaysian made shoes are not durable at all.

Bata is a Malaysian brand. Nowadays bata shoes might be outsourced and made in China.

          Malaysian brand

Funny you said that because my Indian, Italian & Indonesian mate think Bata is coming from their country.

Bata is a Czech brand. Just like Nike they are multinational company. They have factories all over the globe.

          not durable at all.

I never owned Bata shoes, but I bought a pair of Power ( sub brand of bata) runners in Bali and they outlast my Adidas by a mile. I had to throw them out because the sole had no more thread. Very comfy shoes.

          • @Indomietable: Bata shoes is definitely a Malaysian brand. In fact, the origin of the word 'Bata' means stone / pebbles in Malay (Batu Bata). I remember at one time the Prime Minister of Malaysia proudly endorsed Bata as the National brand of Malaysia.

Side note: I bought 'Power' shoes as well which is by Bata and they suck.

            • @Overcomerak: https://www.bata.com.my/company-profile

Bata was founded back in 1894 in Zlin, Czechoslovakia by Thomas Bata, a 9th generation shoemaker in his family.

Never trust politicians. They just make up stuff. Just do quick google and you will find the facts.

Also, How on earth shoe related to pebbles?? … Come on laaaa
