Looking for Smart Weight Scale Recommendations

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a 'smart' scale to track personal weight trends, BMI, body fat content etc. The two i'm currently looking at at the moment are the xiaomi mi smart scale 2 and the eufy c1. Although if anyone has used a different product and can recommend it, it would be greatly appreciated;

  • I have the mi body composition scale V2, really easy to use can't complain. Works well together with my mi band 4

  • I just bought the eufy c1, $30 at jbhifi which I felt was cheap, I didn't even realise it had smart features. Eufy scale has its own app, but also connects to Google fit and Fitbit, it does not connect to samsung health that I can find which is an annoyance for me.

    I don't know much about smart scales but seems to work fairly fine, I stand on it and it gives me the weight pretty quickly, it then does a second test by using the metal things your standing on, I think it uses electrical resistance or something and calculates out your other features (body fat, water percentage, body mass etc) takes a second or two.

    Usually I also have to open the app to get it to sync up, but I figured thats the case, seems to keep a history also for a little bit which is nice and allows me to sync a bit later.

    Tracking is okay its tracked every weight I've taken, and you can use a graph or line chart view, trends are only showing me weight, BMI, body fat and muscle mass.

    App overall looks alright, my only issue is with the graphs, I've lost 1kg of weight, but it looks like I've lost 50kg on the graph because it sort of scales a lot.

    Not sure what the Xiaomi one is like though, as I've heard its good, but I didn't mind this one.

    The obsession with tracking everything is dumb and usually done so that your data can be collected to remove your money or value in the future.

    Most people are obsessed with their weight and have no trouble recalling what it is. So unless you're the type of person that only weighs themselves every few months and may not recall what they weighed previously there is no utility in recording it.

    Very happy with fitbit. Perhaps this should be a poll. Nice to just have wifi, and not need to muck around with phone each time, just step on scales.
