      Yes, yes, yes! This changed last year some time. I used to stay signed in for like 15 minutes and not have to go through the extra clicks all the time but sometime last year it changed and now we have to verify every time.

      If you guys aver find a button/option to turn this crap back off would love to hear it.

    For those looking at the Pedometer app, I tried many Android Pedometer apps but found most of them stopped working in the background despite following their setup guides. Google Fit app worked the best (makes sense they had the best integration) and didn't have lots of advertising or nagging to upgrade to premium services. I lost 4kg in 8 weeks doing at least 10000 steps a day (5 days a week) and making sure I didn't overeat. :)

    I got myself a Xiaomi Mi Band 4 for Xmas for $50 and found the step counter is a LOT more accurate than using my mobile phone. Not sure if it was my phone (Nokia 3.1) but I manually counted my steps one morning and the Mi Band was within 100 steps of 2500 but my phone only recorded 1800.
