Yes same with most games ie. Forza, NBA.
Forza games show big evolutions with each release. Each Horizon game is also quite different.
Not comparable to FIFA and NBA
they obviously aren't a sports/racing aficionado and are generalising based on limited interest
Mate Forza Motorsport doesn't change that much but Forza horizon does.

If you are patient you will eventually be able to pick up these games for 50c or $1. Fifa games drop like a stone as soon as the next one comes out

It has always amazed me how people buy these at release every single year just for the price to drop 90% in a year. Just be behind one year or two and save a bunch of cash if you really must get every single one. That being said, $10 delivered isn't bad.
The reason each annual edition sells is online multiplayer, primarily Ultimate Team. It's made to be addictive and most players want to keep up. I don't like it, but that's the way it is.
I second that. Good luck getting online games with older versions of Fifa. Unfortunately they force people onto never versions IF online play is what you're looking for.
All the Fifa Games are pretty much the same
