Decent 27 Inch Monitor for Gaming?

The monitor i'm using right now is the Predator XB241H.

I'm looking for another monitor for a dual monitor set up for gaming.

Preferably in the 27inch range, the F160 NB monitor arm only support between 24-27". Price range around 300-400 would be great.I'm going to use it as my main monitor. I'm also ok with over budget if it has great specs.

Thanks.

  • Your predator's larger brother, XB271HU is the gold standard. But over your budget.

99% of the cheaper FreeSync monitors now work with G-sync if you have a Nvidia card.

    • Can you list some of them?

      is this one good enough?

I used staticice to look for some 2560x1440 but most of them are viewsonic such as the VA2719-2K or VG27

      • There's a handy list by Nvidia here

Change to G-sync and 27 inch and check models for availability and price through your fav retailer or static ice.

      • I've just bought that one. It's great. Just plug and play straight away. I bought a displayport cable which enabled 144hz.

I'm a photographer by trade so I'm used to calibrated screens. TBH, for gaming it's pretty great. Colours seem fine. Although the screen is matte, it's the kind of annoying matte that messes with you because of any background reflections if you ever decide to move your head around. Otherwise, the brightness from various viewing angles are good.

  • Eve just released some really good looking gaming monitors last night. 2k 240hz 27 inch screens. Some amazing io in there too. I'm gonna get one layer this year. They have a 4k 144hz version too.

  • +1

I got one of these Kogan ones and it has been pretty great so far. Stand is terrible, but I had a desk mount anyway, so wasn't an issue for me.
