Buy New Phone ZTE - Network question

Hi guys,

I am about to buy a cheap mobile just time for me to go back to France.
I am not sure which mobile I am going to choose and your answers will help me :)

1st:
ZTE Blade Blitz V0720 (4G/LTE, 5", 8MP, Opt) - Silver ZTEBLITZSLV ( https://www.mobileciti.com.au/zte-blade-blitz-v0720-4g-lte-5… )
In the description is mentioned "the ZTE Blade is a 4G+ LTE 700 smart phone for Optus. Running Android 6 with a large and bright 5” HD IPS display. This metal uni-bodied device has many features including a finger print reader."
And on the specification it's mentioned: "network lock: unlock" and "Network Branding: unbrand"

2nd:
ZTE 4GX HD A475 (4G/LTE, 5.0", Tel) - Black ( https://www.mobileciti.com.au/zte-telstra-4gx-hd-a475-4g-lte… )
On the specification it's mentioned: "network lock: unlock" and "Network Branding: Testra"

I'm currently on Telstra living in Sydney and just want to make sure that for the ZTE Blade Blitz It will work with a Telstra prepaid card and that once I'll be back to France I'll be able to use those phones with another mobile carrier.

Many thanks for your help

  • Personally I'd spend a few extra bucks for something like this: https://www.mobileciti.com.au/open-box-as-new-oppo-ax5-64gb-…

2x the price for 4x the performance and 2x battery life, as well as resale value.

Both of those ZTE phones will work though, both have B28 and other essential Telstra bands.

  • Be aware that whilst the Blade blitz has B28 on 4G which is common for both Telstra and Optus, it is lacking the Telstra's 850 Mhz band on 3G which is essential for voice calls, and you mentioned you're currently on Telstra so amongst the 2 phones you've picked only the 4GX is usable for you. Besides these phones are quite outdated with virtually no support from ZTE as they're no longer in Australia
