  • That's a good deal

    • +12

The deal is good, but prices at Terrywhite chemist are ridiculous

      • 1000 points is just about worth nothing and with Terry White pricing you're actually getting a worse deal than just heading to Chemist Warehouse without the points. Ultimately Terry White pay for those points which is past onto customers.

        • +8

just link your account, dont spend a cent and walk away with 1k points (worth ~$10)? what's to lose except 1 minute of your time

          • -5

@pHyR3: I just spend 7500 points on a Jetstar flight and saved a whopping $33 off the return flights. So how is 1000 worth $10? Perhaps there is something I'm not seeing here.
PS that's how many points I earnt flying all the way to Brasil and back lol.

            • +3

@[Deactivated]: Because you get much better value elsewhere.

Granted, it's no good to you if you don't want to book one of those good value flights, but that's why people value a point at one cent.

            • +2

@[Deactivated]: Because u shouldn't use ur points for Jetstar flight in general. Qantas flight would have better return to start with.

              • -2

@hanofee: Qantas was almost 3 times the price for the days I wanted. So how is that better? It's only a Syd <> Melb so I really don't care what airline I use for a short flight.

            • @[Deactivated]:

To get the maximum value from Frequent Flyer Points, you need to spend on Classic Rewards tickets on Qantas.

              • @vikvance: Thanks for clarifying. It was still much more expensive on Qantas but now I know for the future if they have a good deal :)

        • +4

I once visited Terry White at Granville. They had kids Panadol at double the price of Chemist Warehouse price. I opened up the chemist warehouse website, showed it to staff and they price matched it :P no harm in asking…

          • +3

@Bareadygain: Yes there is no harm in asking but they know and we know the average person will not do this in a drug store. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing this everytime I visit when I can just go to Chemist Warehouse and I don't need to ask them to price match each time.

      • Terry White have a price match policy…

  • +1

Lol, started posting, went to meeting, came back and it said duplicated link :) Good deal!

          • @jimbobaus: I just got the email ad from qantas:

New TerryWhite Chemmart REWARDS members will earn 1,000 bonus Qantas Points when they join and link their Qantas Frequent Flyer and TerryWhite Chemmart REWARDS accounts for the first time between 29 January 2020 and 02 February 2020. • Nice

Weird. I just linked my account and the 'success' page suggests that I'm now earniny 2 points for every $1 spent at Terry White and will get 1,000 points only after I spend $30.

Says nothing about the 1,000 points for signing up.

    • See update on post above
The bonus points may not be visible on linking page but provided you sign up in qualifying period you will get the points with 6 weeks

  • Have they updated the site? I can't see anything about the bonus points with no spend.

  • Transactions includes any products right? I.e. prescriptions?

    • No, non prescription (see original post)

  • Every store and their dog has a rewards program these days, hard to keep up. But hey, it's free.

  • +2

Don't forget CR has 10% off as part of their in-store deal (no min spend)! Guessing you can stack as they are unrelated.

  • I went to the TerryWhite website after the Qantas one and tried to create an account, said my email was already in use. I then went to complete registration and after sending me a verification email, got me to create a username for TerryWhite, etc.

Didn't see anything about the 1,000 points for sign-up but hopefully within the next 45 days. :)

    • +2

      I had a similar issue
had to "recover username" then "reset password"
once i did this i could see the link and it was my QFF email and QFF number in the account.

The username it gave me was a string of random letters and numbers

  • It says my email adress isnt valid

  • Gave me a username of like ef351noiw905j519gh523ns but after recovering that, then resetting password, I was able to log in successfully and set something a little more personal and memorable. I have had a look at the T&C's provided and it looks fine but does anyone know if I can fill a prescription to cross the $30 threshhold?

    • dont pick on people with names such as "ef351noiw905j519gh523ns" :)

      • +5

Funnily enough ef351noiw905j519gh523ns was actually my nickname in highschool!

how much value is 2000 points?
I've had about 450 points on my qantas points account for the last 5 years…

    • How much each point is worth could potentially vary depending on when/how you claim etc.

The way I like to think about it is from a spending perspective then maybe it'll help in terms of determining "value". So…to earn 2000 QFF points from Terry white you'd usually need to spend $1000…now 1000 for free, or 2000 for $30 spend.

    • not a lot

  • Any idea on how to use 1000 points?

    • +8

You can get a free glass of water on a flight

  • So I take it you scan your Terry White card when shopping not your Qantas FF card?

    • YEAH there is a barcode u can get from logging into TW website

  • +1

    Hi Guys,
I already linked my QFF card with TerriWhite last year. Do you know if I could unlink it (and then re-link)?
    I couldn't find any options under settings…

  • Thanks OP. Redeemed! Will update if/when I receive the sign-up points.

  • Signed up for this a few months ago and couldn’t find enough value items over the period to make up $30 threshold. Shocking prices.

  • That sucks. I just joined over a week ago.

    • Same here, annoying I only got 1000 points with the old offer and I spent $30 as well :)

  • +2

Ridiculous password limitations limit you to only 6 characters.

Some good usernames (Eg. "Ass") are available though for once haha, and you can change as many times as you want.

You can even use single characters as a username which is weird, a few are still available.

    • The password ia not limited to 6 character as it accepted my 10 character password with their capital/ special char/number combination requirements. I think it's meant to say minimum is 6 characters as it is ridiculous now a day to limit password to 6 char only.

      • Odd it wouldn't work with my 20 digit generated password following their requirements then.

And be surprised how retarded some companies requirements are, I just signed up to a Westpac card and discovered theirs is limited to ONLY 6 characters.

  • Thanks OP took less than 30 seconds to register and get the message on the Qantas site saying successfully joined.

  • +3

After registering via the OP's Link on the Qantas website, go here https://www.terrywhitechemmart.com.au/rewards/ and press the "Complete Registration" button. This sends an email link to you which allows for username and password creation.

  • So it seems that I've successfully linked my Qantas membership to Terry White via the Qantas link. Is that all I need to do? Why are people here going to the Terry White website after linking and creating user accounts and resetting passwords etc? Is this step necessary? The qantas website didn't tell me I had to complete registration" after linking. Am I missing something?

    • So many questions haha that’s all you need to do but you get extra points after registering on their website and then buying things.

  • To be eligible for 1000 bonus Qantas Points, accounts must be linked on the day you join REWARDS.

Received my points today in my Qantas account!
