There'll be a free month of Pokemon Bank on 3DS when this releases

To commemorate the release of Pokémon HOME, we will make Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter available at no cost for a one-month period after Pokémon HOME is released. You’ll be able to bring Pokémon from various Pokémon series games using Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter. Once you've got your Pokémon in Pokémon Bank, you'll then be able to move them to Pokémon HOME!

This is way more expensive than Bank which is $6.50 for a year though at least there is some free functionality.

Also Pokemon Go connectivity will not be there at launch.

  Out now, you get a choice of gen 1 starter and a Pikachu that can reportedly be from any language (mine was just english though).

  Also get Pichu from creating a binder.

    Allows you to transfer your Pokemon from Pokemon Bank (and thus potentially as far back as Ruby/Sapphire - Red/Blue as well if you count 3DS VC) to Home and thus some of those into Sword and Shield. Also gives access to trading Pokemon, with friends, rooms and the GTS. If you pay you can store up to 6,000 Pokemon.

    You will be able to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Go to it in the future, but don't think there'll be any point for Go only players.

  Note you can purchase Premium Plan through the Mobile App, so it might be cheaper when stacked with % off iTunes Gift Cards or even using Google Play Rewards Credits.

  The transfer process isn't great, it doesn't carry over box names, there doesn't seem to be groups in Home like Bank had and for some reason despite my Bank Dex at 786, my Home is only at 780.
