  I’ve not seen or read of a good infrared thermometer. The in-ear thermometer has the most accurate reading.

  I have this one, but bought from aliexpress. It is fairly ok, you have to take a few measurements to get an idea of the child's temprature. Remember that when you are measuring with this thermometer, you are only measuring that specific spot, so I would ussualy measure in 3 different places on her forehead. Also, this one has a removable cap where you can use it for in-ear measuring which is much more accurate. My wife still swears by a normal mercury thermometer, BUT, when the baby is upset and you can get her to be still for 5 minutes while you measure her temperature, this thermometer becomes really useful.

    Big W has a 90 days return policy if the product "doesn’t do what we said it would do". If it isn't accurate then you're entitled to get a full refund.
