Small tins of “Dine” “Suculent Chiclen,”
from/via an Amazon deal, cost $7 / Kg

      w/ Free Shipping w/ Prime

Dunno what’s in it, but our cat
jumps up on her “feeding shelf”
on hearing our words for it -
      “Chicken-Chicken” - & it even
      smells good to nearby Human
      Noses, mine incl’d.

This “deal” seems -WAY- overpriced, IMO.

      • +1

You can get food for free from the rubbish dump, so going by your logic, Dine is wayyy overpriced. Maybe free meal for yourself too? You'll save money so nothing else matters right.

      • You lost any credibility with "dunno what's in it", yet in another post you say you need more 'opinions' to what constitutes a premium brand. SMH

        • I can assure you: I've lost Nothing here.

I see No Arguments or Evidence in Favor of the "deal" product or its brand (Do you?)

In the absense of Arguments or Evidence,
why should any1 consider it worth such a high price / Kg?

          Q.E.D.

(Neg's are Not Arguments / Evidence.)

PS I prefer to drive a Volvo, but I buy them
long after the day they were New.

(First Volvo got me to + back from, eg, Marree.
I paid $550 (sic.) for it, in excellent cond'n)

@IVI: Does the quality of the ingredients mean nothing to you? Or perhaps you don't know how to differentiate between ingredients?

          • +1

@IVI: You still don't seem to understand the meaning of the word 'bargain'. Here you go bud - bargain (noun) "a thing bought or offered for sale much more cheaply than is usual or expected."

This deal is a bargain, cheapest I've seen it.

You seem more hung up on the total price, and if that's the case, then just move on. This deal isn't for you then. If you want arguments/evidence, then do some research, there is plenty online. I have no interest in spending time debating this.

            Maybe start here - https://www.petfoodreviews.com.au/dry-cat-food/dine-desire/

$65/kg for cat food… don't know how they get away with it.

  • +1

    Great price for Ziwi.

    • Yes, but are we here to look after Ziwi…?
      Or to save $$…?

      • +1

It is saving money, that's the funny thing. There is such a thing as a bargain on a premium brand that you would otherwise normally pay more for. Sounds like you are more interested in the cheapest shiite money can buy. How about you mosey along to the dollar store and not worry about this post?

        • -3

I’d need more than 1 opinion, that
Ziwi may be a premium brand, ie,
B4 I’d be paying SO much for cat food

          PS:

U remind me of Canadian comic Russell Peters &
his “Dollar store” joke(s), Delivered in good Asian
          accent.

You’ll find it in some YouTube’s near you.

(And, by the way you express yourself,
I’d say u likely need a little lift in humor.

If Peters doesn’t Do it for you, try a swig
of Woodhull, in a recent “Laugh out loud”
fr CBC Radio, a bit harder to access, now
          that most outside of Canada are stuck w;
          their down-graded app “CBC Listen”

          Woodhull’s on YT.

@IVI: Jesus dude, you still don't get it. I buy Ziwi, and when it is on sale, it is a BARGAIN! look up the definition of a bargain if you don't understand it, because it isn't defined as the cheapest shit on offer.

          • +3

@IVI: it's expensive because it's essentially air dried meat (fortified with nutrients) rather than a biscuit. It looks just like beef jerky. This is a great price!

      • +3

I'm here to look after my cat. I care about the ingredients and I only buy Ziwi and Feline Natural. This is the best price I've ever seen for Ziwi, so it's a good deal for me.

      • +2

I normally pay for around $55-60 per 1kg ziwi cat food. so $35 is really cheap. I would order 10 bags if I can!!!!!!!!!!

        • For Kosher foods (ie, Certified "Kosher"
by specially trained Rabbis), O. Jews, et al.
pay more for it… but that food is inspected
by such Rabbis, not once, but regularly.

How do you know (for sure) that your costly cat
fare is good as its marketing seems to have
          convinced you it may be?

          "You can trust us"

    Thanks OP! :)

Looks like both of those items are now sold out, but the smaller 400g bags are still available at a good price. Also, they are on the Pet House website with a much lower minimum free shipping offer ($29).

I feed my dogs the dog ziwi peak, they only small dogs and don't eat much. Good stuff. Don't know how people feed there dogs supermarket filler sugar filled dog food, and wonder why there animals get sick.

    Arhhhh, too late! All gone!

    • +1

Haha, it's not just out of stock, they took the page down (404)

      • +1

Dammit, missed out! My pusscat loves Ziwi too

  • Recently got a (very small) sample packet with my 9 weeks old Chi and he loved it. Trying him on a cheaper but still good quality food but he's just not as into it as he was with the Ziwi brand. Chis sure has expensive taste. Now am thinking whether to buy Ziwi for him as his regular food brand from now on or is there a cheaper but same quality?

    • The other comparable brand is Feline Natural, but similar costs. Both of these are almost all meat/organs. I usually stock up when one of them are on sale.

    • Petstock has 25% off on Feline Naturals until tomorrow midnight, you could try some

  • My order got refunded, said out of stock.

    • Yep, same. I'd be interested to know if anyone got their order, or if they cancelled these across the board. Felt like a bait and switch with their corny "here's 15% off your next order!".
