Retrofitting Touchscreen (Android Auto) to Radio Console, 2014 Mazda Neo 3

I have a 2014 Mazda Neo 3 with a head unit that looks like this.

Does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade the radio unit to the touchscreen model, like this?, without too much fuss?

Yes, I have contacted one Mazda dealer directly who said it's not possible, so I want to investigate after-market options before giving up on the idea. Thanks!

I hope they have online shopping as I can't imagine the OP making a 6000km round trip to visit their stores

      • It's just asking to see if it can be done

  • Have you called your local Mazda dealer and asked them? Looks like a retro fit kit and covers the 2014 range.

    Perhaps something like this one

    • Yes, I called one who said it couldn't be done. I'll investigate with other ones around Perth.

      • It's not a genuine item, you have to call car stereo installers, not Mazda.

A mate works for "Grants Car Stereo" in Morley, give them a call, very clean installs

Possible? Yes to install an aftermarket system in

Looks pretty tidy if you can find the right stereo system to go in

  • Or else you could DIY with a retrofit kit from Aliexpress
