Very competitive when compared against the 970 EVO, and still usable in a PCIE 3.0 bus (though that impacts its read speeds). It's not going to have high-end PCIE 4.0 performance due to the lack of a heatsink, but it's solid.

The mouse is the RGB variant of the CoolerMaster MM710 mouse in matte black, and they are probably the #1 gaming mouse recommendation right now if you're after a smaller mouse. Trypophobians be advised that its honeycomb design may not be to your liking.

I'd value the mouse around $50, so if you have a need for both, this is a good deal. The related Seagate promotion runs until March 29.

There are other models available in this promotion, but the value proposition is only really there for the FireCuda 520 at this storage class.

  Pretty sweet deal - nice to see one without the heatsink actually, my X570 board has a built in heatsink/fan.

  Good deal but PCI-E 4.0 SSDs still doesn’t have much real-world benefit. Also the more important factor is the NAND and the controller.

    That's fair, but beyond installation times, you can make that argument all the way down to 3 GBps SATA for regular consumers.

    One day it will start to matter beyond the professional space, but for $20 more, it's worth taking up. If they'll actually sell the the 510 for $129, then that's an amazing deal.

  I have Samsung 960 pro and it runs hot, like 65 idle and 70+ under load.
  Any idea what the temps for this SSD are?

    Higher. This is a consumer drive, and the write performance suffers due to the decisions they've made to cater to this (including a dynamic SLC cache, I believe).

    There's absolutely no point upgrading to this from an existing NVMe drive IMO, especially from yours.
