Best Value for Money TV at Myer

HI everyone. looking for some advice, obviously.

My old 3d TV (a feature that was never used) sony 55 inch is beginning to switch on and off at random, and rather than repair this ugly brute of a tv im going to replace it.

The only caveat is, Im restricted both financially and to the store i purchase the tv from, as I have somehow accumulated $1800 odd worth of points at Myers. If someone could give me an idea of the TVs with the best bang for buck from Myers, id be very grateful. IVe been doing some research but its hard to know where to start.

I could potentially add another $500-600 on top.

Me and the missus have always liked the look of the LG OLEDs in store, but theyre still a bit pricey, and Im REALLY not fond of the Web OS interface. The lounge room is also very bright, something i read interferes with OLED? 55inch to 65 inch (65 preferrable). Used for Netflix and all those streaming things, and a lot of plex.

Myers has brands Im unsure of Devanti, Hisense, and TCL. i presume these are all budget brands? Hisense Ive heard of.

The ones I personally like the look of are (these are the Myers prices, idk how they compare to other stores, but they do price match as long as the store has a physical presence)

1.LG Series C9 55-inch (139cm) Ultra HD OLED ThinQ AI TV price $2,299.00 (only 55" though, but acceptable - best rated on rtings.com)

2.Sony Series 7000G 65-inch (165cm) 4K Ultra HD LED Smart TV price $1,349.00 (sale price)

3.Sony 9500G Series 65-inch (165cm) Ultra HD LED Android TV9500G Series 65-inch (165cm) Ultra HD LED Android TV $2,499.00 (bit pricey)

4.LG Series SM8600 65-inch (165cm) Super Ultra HD LED ThinQ AI TVSeries SM8600 65-inch (165cm) Super Ultra HD LED ThinQ AI TV price $1,999.00

Myer will price match, as long as it's not below cost.

Yes they are in danger of going under. I wouldn't be comfortable with that much credit.

Find a better price on a TV they stock and price match.

I'm picky with my picture quality, and after having so many issues with a Sony 65" LCD (including complete failure after 2 months), JB were great and took it back as a return, and I then went for the LG OLED, and absolutely love it. Admittedly I don't use the WebOS interface at all - Apple TV for Netflix, Disney, iTunes, etc, Fetch TV for recorded TV, separate 4K player - but the picture quality is superb - even in the afternoon when the room is bright from natural light.

Some may not notice light bleeds and black levels on edge-lit LCDs that don't have adequate local dimming, but it's such an irk point for me. The uniformness of OLED makes me think any time I need a new TV, it would be another OLED.

The 2019 models would be starting to run out now, so may have some clearance specials. The 2020 models start appearing any time from April, and in the past has been the higher end models first (and back to their usual RRP). See if you can find somewhere to price match against, or chat to get a better deal and use your credit from Myer.
