Cashrewards overdue in getting store approval

Is anyone else experiencing this issue with Cashrewards?

I don't usually experience any issue with store approval at the end of the approximate 90 days wait with Cashrewards, until about 4 weeks ago.

In my situation, the stores Cashrewards say are delaying approving transactions are "My Pet Warehouse" and "Taking Shape". I've not had a problem with either of these stores in the past. Some transactions are now approaching 4 weeks overdue for approval.

Is it just me or are others experiencing issues too?

  • I've had two problems with Cashrewards over a few years of use … both David Jones purchases. Seems very odd that of two issues, both are from the same retailer.

      Thanks nocure, however I have lodged enquiries for the transactions but I've received a standardised response for all of them saying;

      "Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your pending transaction with Taking Shape/My Pet Warehouse.

      I have reviewed the store's system and see that the transaction still marked as pending. Your transaction is taking longer than expected to have an update from the store. Please be advised that our team needs to wait until Taking Shape/My Pet Warehouse has marked your transaction as eligible for cashback before we can update the status of your rewards on our end.

      Rest assured we are doing all that we can to have your cashback updated. Sorry for the delay.

      Your understanding is greatly appreciated."

        That answers the question. The store hasn't paid Cashrewards yet so they can't pay you.

  • I’ve got an outstanding cashback from mypetwarehouse 2/11
    Just remember that the estimated approval time is just an estimate.

    There’s a lot of public holidays/Christmas period between then and now and checking/paying commission is generally a low priority for an accounts department.

    I trust that cashrewards when paid will credit accounts with our cashbacks.

    Yes - I too are having issues with Cashrewards, with three transactions. Two were for significant amounts for changing electrical supplier, which weren't initially tracked. That was resolved via email. I'm now sweating it out to see if I actually receive payment.

    The third issue was for an offer with Holiday Cars back in June of last year, which was a straight $14 offer. This one didn't track initially, and it took quite a number of emails to-and-fro before it showed on the system. Now, 100+ days after we returned the hire car, apparently Holiday Cars have "declined" the cashback without providing a reason. I have ALL the documentation to demonstrate that I met ALL of the conditions for the cash back. My question is - in the case of an offer such as this, who is the contract with? Is the agreement between me and Cashrewards, or between me and Holiday Cars????

    Haven't had issues before with Cash Rewards, but after this run I'm thinking that I'll be steering towards Shopback in future.
