Cordless Vacuum with on Switch

Mum is looking for a cordless vacuum, but apparently the Dyson that she was eyeing off uses a trigger and has to be pressed the entire time and does not have the option to lock. Not ideal as she has arthritis in her hand. Anybody know of any alternatives that have an on/off type button? Surprisingly hard to Google.

The Vax cordless range have an on-off button.

    Anybody know of any alternatives

Could offer to help your mum out? Do a bit of vacuuming for her?

Or buy a Robovac so that nobody has to do the vacuuming!

      • Wont someone think of the robots!

    Dyson.

    And a velcro cable tie.

    • So OP mum has to put the velcro each time when she vacuum with her arthritis? good luck with that.

Its not that hard. The cable of velcro doesnt fully detach. All OP's mom has to do is synch and attach the velcro. When she wants it to release, just pull the velcro strap to loosen.

I do not have arthritis and I do this. It is like one of those life hack things.

  • The LG CordZero A9 has buttons instead of a trigger. I really like mine.

A robo vac and a nice glass of wine.

    Only way to vacuum

  • Thanks for all the responses guys, will go either the LG CordZero A9 or one of the Vax range.

Robots are cool as well, i'll let her know how far they've come, but i reckon she'll still go the handheld (spider webs and such).
