  • is this a good deal?? on ebay these are for 90$

    • Antler's quality sucks based on my experience using 3 different hard-shell models. Get Samsonite.

  • how is this brand comparing to American Tourister?

the 10y warranty is pretty useless, it doesn't cover the parts it breaks, which is the wheels.

    • Which brand covers wheel?

      • +2

don't think any, my American Tourister had a wheel damaged and not covered, not happy.

that's why i was trying to say all these 10y warranty thing is very deceptive

        • It means the warranty starts 10 years from the date of purchase. Then expires 3 seconds later.

          Don't believe? Try and claim.

        • I've had wheels replaced twice under warranty on our American Touristers.
Those little rubber tyres just don't like European cobblestones.

      • Away and a few others cover wheels, but you’re paying 4x the price

    • My friend works in luggage and said American Tourist is better but it's $119

  • +1

2.7Kg - too heavy for a carry-on when many airlines are limiting this to 7Kg.

    • not many are less than 2.7kg though - most American Touristers come in around this range

      • So 2.7kg of their crap and 4.3 of yours.

  • Its fairly light, especially for a hard shell. If you're worried about weight, use a sports bag lol

  • +1

Why would you want a hard case as a carry on?, despite the weight disadvantage, the things have their baby wheels which fail in a short amount of time, carry on generally doesn't get abused like check in, I have a backpack with no pockets bar for one, the thing weighs 0.5 kg, that's 6.5kg I can wack into it, think about it!

    • Agree with you about the backpack being light but the point of having wheels is so you don’t lug 7kilos on your back.
