  • $11 cheaper than the next cheapest identical card. But you can get a 2gb 6950 by ASUS or Gigabyte for even cheaper..

  • Honestly the 2GB isn't worth the extra money unless you have multiple monitors that will all have a game running on them.

A real bargain would have been that 1GB 6950 MSY was selling for under $200 a few weeks back.

    • +1

I used to think you'd never need more than 256Mb RAM for a video card and even that was pretty extreme. Oh how wrong I was…

    • Yea if only MSY had em for under $200…, I would prefer a 1GB rather than a 2GB, but an extra gig for around the same price, i thought "interesting"… Hmm

  • I own HIS and PowerColor 6950 1Gb cards. The PowerColor is very quiet under full load while the normal HIS is very loud. Having two of these in a machine at 100% load sounds like a mini vacuum cleaner.

Also note the 1Gb HIS cards don't have the BIOS reset switch (PowerColor does), so reflashing to a 6970 BIOS is impossible (tried and failed). The 2Gb version may be different, but don't count on it.

    • Wonder if the IceQ X cooler on this would make a difference.

  • Would this work with my HP Proliant Microserver?

    • cool, thanks GUYS (based on the comments above…lol)

  • LOL'ed on that one as well… and pretty good deal too op.

  • Would this be good for mining?

  • That is a very good cooler…

  • Can the GPU be overclocked?

Australia doesn't seem to sell the turbo X version…
