How to Manage Multiple PayID?

What methods are you currently using to manage multiple PayIDs? Currently I don't have any setup, but to speed up transfers across bonus condition accounts. I think I should create separate PayID for each account. Often I find myself completing the transfers on a Friday afternoon to find it doesn't come in until Monday.

Does the gmail name-extension trick work for PayIDs?

  • Isn't payID linked to mobile number?

Not Always, For example Up Bank lets you choose a custom PayID using the Up Names Feature.

      • OK. I'm with CBA and I'm pretty sure only option is mobile.

Generally most banks offer (for personal accounts):

          • Email PayID
          • Phone Number PayID
        • commbank's payid support is poor. they only support mobile numbers and you need to use a mobile phone to make payments.

never will i set up a mobile phone payid - anyone just look up your mobile number and get your name

CBA supports mobile numbers and email.

  • Mine are as follows:
My main account : Mobile number
Secondary account (for all My direct debits) : email 1
Secondary savings account (good interest rate) email 2

  • [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]

All are one email as far as Gmail cares, but are unique payids

  • Ok, I think I'll use the gmail method.

  • You shouldn't need to create multiple PayIDs in order to use fast payments - BSB and account should still work, but it's possible that individual banks will send the transfer the slow way if you give them a BSB and account number. This is from Osko's website:

    How to pay with Osko
You can make a faster, 24/7 payment with Osko all within your online banking. Simply ask your mate for their PayID or BSB and Account number. If their bank or financial institution also has Osko the payment will arrive in under a minute – too easy!
