Good Reliable Laptop around $600 for Gaming and a Bit of Work

I'm after a good reliable laptop. One that can play latest games and some upcoming ones for a few years hopefully, plus study and stuff. I have no idea what to start looking for. Should I check Harvey Norman and jb or not bother?

  • good to get i7 processor for gaming

    • That's what I was thinking but it's a bit pricey atm :(

      • i5 is fine for gaming.. you don't really need 4 cores.

  • MLN usually are good for a bargain.. https://www.mln.com.au/
Which store does not matter much… the lappy specs and price are the go.
One way is to find one that Office Works has in stock and then scout around for a good price. OW will then beat it by 5%.

    • I'll keep that in mind. My problem is I don't know which brands are better than others and what specs to look for

  • why not for work and just a little bit of gaming :) ?

    • That's no fun :)

    Lenovo E520 is a good lappie: http://shopap.lenovo.com/au/en/notebooks/thinkpad/edge-serie…

There are often 10-20% deals that will bring it lower. Or you can give them a call and they will usually take 10%+ off.

    • Thanks. 20% off the $750 model would be great :) I'll give them a call tomorrow :)

Enter BULK2 as ecoupon brings it down to AU$636.65

        • Sweet :) now to decide if I shout get the red one or black haha

        • Also get a $1 500 gig hard drive. Anyone know if the wireless upgrade for $10 is worth it?

      • Yeah I read the $10 wireless upgrade is better as the default one is just wireless G boosted. I did anyhow.

Yeah get the $1 500G USB 2.0 portable HDD
