Can't Find Crossover 270X144 VESA Mounting Bracket ADAPTER for Sale

As the title says, I am on the hunt for a mounting bracket ADAPTER for the Crossover 270X144, which I purchased more than 2 years ago.

I note in the description it says "75 x 75mm (Bracket is not included)" which is an annoying oversight on my behalf, as I now have a monitor arm but no way to mount it, since the back of the curved screen does not natively support VESA, and requires a specialised adapter to make it compatible with a 75x75mm mount.

Does anyone know where I can find an appropriate mounting bracket adapter for this monitor? I have searched a lot with no results so far… I have also messaged the eBay seller in case they know.

EDIT: Solution found, thanks everyone.

    • I should clarify, I'm not after any stock-standard bracket, but an adapter that will specifically work with the Crossover 270X144. As a South Korean brand, it's difficult to source parts for it.

I already have a mounting arm ready to go, just need the adapter which will connect from the back of the monitor to a 75x75mm plate, which I can then attach to the arm which already has the 75x75 or 100x100 holes drilled in.

      • Ah ok, and there's nothing behind that mounting plate shown in the bottom left? No mounting points under there?

Seems you'll be SOOL given the generic branding of the monitor. Might have to just sell it and buy something fit for purpose

        • Yeah, I'm wondering what's behind there too. Surely it's just a flat space with some holes that you can screw a generic plate into. I wonder if it's like the good old days of Amstrad where they moulded their mouse connector slightly different to a regular serial port so you had to buy your mouse from them.

          • @ozbs25: I'd have a look behind there before you pull your hair out :)

            • @spackbace: Here is a picture of it (after I put the monitor back together again).

The metal plate that connects the monitor to its current stand is much smaller than the 75x75mm VESA plate in the foreground. I believe there is an adapter that will sit in that space and has holes that is compatible with VESA.

              • @theoracle30: Measure the holes in your monitor. The bracket I linked before had multiple holes in it, 50x50, 75x75, 100x100. There are probably similar or better brackets with more holes in them.

If yours is 50x50 maybe you can use it. Just may need some longer screws with spacers so you screw in from both sides.

                Edit: word

              • @theoracle30: We need to see behind that latch on the monitor, and measure the holes in there, then we'll know

  • What did you search for? Seems like a standard size. "vesa 75x75 bracket" brings up heaps of options.

    • Apologies for not being clear enough - I am looking for a specific adapter which will connect the back of the monitor to the existing mounting arm I already have, and is ready to receive a 75x75mm or 100x100mm plate.

The reason for this is that the back of this curved monitor does not natively support VESA, therefore I need some sort of adaptor to make it work. The eBay listing suggests such a product exists, but I don't know where to find it.

      • You shouldn't need to find a specific adapter. vesa is "a family of standards defined by the Video Electronics Standards Association for mounting flat panel monitors, televisions, and other displays to stands or wall mounts."

The vesa bracket should/can have two sides, one for your monitor and one for your monitor arm if it needs one, I believe.

        Edit: Like this one:

  • best to show us a picture of the back of your monitor, with the space for the "adapter". I have a funny feeling it's one of those "710" moments.

    • Thanks, picture here.

      • You'll need to take it off the stand it's on now and expose the back. Can't see anything.

      • I assume the white arm is the one you wanted to use. From the manual for the monitor, the monitor's vesa mounting points are recessed. So you just need extra long M4 screws, probably M4 x 20MM. Other than that, I can't see any reason why not you can't use the arm with the monitor.

        • Only issue is that the back of the monitor is less than 60x60mm. I'm pretty sure some adapter needs to sit into that space to make it compatible with 75x75mm as noted on the eBay listing.

          • @theoracle30: what you showed is the stand, not the back of the monitor. There should be 4 screws in the 75x75mm config if you look at the back of the monitor, after removing the stand.

            • +1

@tio: You're right! So it looks like I just need to go out and buy 4x extra long screws for it? (You mentioned M4 x 20mm?)

              • @theoracle30: Maybe, measure how long the supplied screws are, then add the recess depth.

                • @tio: Try not to overtighten the screws as the arm's plate might bend or even the monitor's frame might break, or both.

                • @tio: The existing screw is about 9mm long. The distance between the flat space behind to the monitor up to where the stand would sit is about 12mm.

I think 20mm should work. I'll give it a go anyway. Thanks for your help.

@theoracle30: I would get spacers so that the pressure is focused onto the screws/screw holes and not the actual monitor.

                    Something like this:

                    • @ozbs25: The desk mount comes with 8 plastic washers (page 5, item D on the bottom). Do you think that would suffice?

                      • @theoracle30: You'd have to see if 2 of those would clear that gap. I don't think it would. Maybe buy some more washers?

                      • @theoracle30: You can maybe buy some spacers from Jaycar as well, if you're going to be spending money on washers. There are kits as well on ebay and stuff. A few different options.
