Kogan Washing Machines - Reviews & Repair Stories

I'm looking at purchasing a Kogan washing machine. Probably a front loader, but maybe a top loader.

All the reviews are short and either positive or complain about issues like noise which can be quite subjective. I'd like to know if anyone has had any issues with a Kogan washing machine and can talk to the repair process within the 2 year warranty.

This is what you should be more concerned about. If there is one thing you would learn by practically all of the Kogan support related posts here and elsewhere is you would be up the s**t creek all on your own without a peddle if your washing machine packs up. Kogan support is a disgrace! Do not buy, there are plenty of other options out there to meet every budget! Considering these would be rebadged Chinese washing machines there is a very good possibility that you will need support/service and I highly doubt Kogan would have a national service network or maintain spare parts stock, etc. That is if you got lucky in getting to that stage past their support.

    • I must concur with the above. Having had a couple very frustrating goes with their after sale service I will not be buying again from Kogan.

  • Why on earth you would buy a washing machine from an online only retailer, with known poor warranty support, is beyond me.

  • i would stick to a brand name, spare parts would be more easily available

  • You have to balance the extra price of a brand name with solid aftercare service with a cheaper offering.

If you believe you won't require aftercare service go with the cheaper alternative. which I personally would go for, after using various washing machines for 30 years never had a problem.

In fact, I'm about to gonna buy a Holden coz it's so cheap, with no guarantee service and warranty, but all those who are scared will go pay for a full price car else where.

Everyones choice, I'd rather pay less now and risk paying more later than guarantee paying more now.
