I wonder if they will ever include basketball footwear in these deals.

Actually went straight for the OMN1S and was quickly disappointed

  • How often do New Balance usually do >30% off deals, and are the usually the same time of year?

    • I haven't seen a time New Balance hasn't been on sale! They usually have a ongoing Groupon deal.

  • Thanks. Bought a pair of shoes and two t shirts.

  • Thanks for the heads up op. Been waiting for a sale on the 1080v10 and that's a great price.

  • Any personal reviews for their running shoes? I am after a sole which has a very thick foam. Nike’s/adidas ain’t that great for me. Brooks were really good.

    • +3

Thick foam Brooks — Glycerin? For New Balance running shoes similar to Brooks Glycerin, I'll probably go with 1080v10. It has lots of reviews on YouTube where you can check them out, but I haven't ran in them personally.

      • How does the V10 compare to ultraboost? I use mainly for treadmill running. Thanks.

        • 1080v10 is generally a better running shoes. UltraBoost 19/20 are heavier, biased towards the heel, only has 4 sets of shoe lace eyelets so might not get a good fit, etc. Some people love the Prime Knit, and some said Boost is life. I just don't think UltraBoost is that good as running shoes.

          • @scotty: Ok, thanks. I need to try out the V10. I was initially impressed with the ultraboost, but now it does feel a bit heavy. However, I run only on the treadmill..

I've just retired a pair of the 1080v9 (and will be replacing them with the v10). They were a great shoe, thick foam but a little stiff - still managed a decent marathon in them and pulled up fine. I've read that the v10 are a more cushioned ride but still able to handle up tempo stuff; looking forward to trying them.
I'm also about 500km into a pair of FF Beacon 2 which are a fabulous versatile shoe. Very plush and handle long recovery runs very well, but also able to push the pace on fast 5k - highly recommended. I also bought a pair of Fuel Cell Propel in the last sale - very soft foam but they were too sloppy for me, foot lacked stability. I now have its faster sibling, the Fuel Cell Rebel which is a great racer (5k - HM). Light and responsive but still plenty of cushion.

Thanks for your review. I think you've convinced me to go FF Beacon 2 rather than 1080v10 for everyday trainer - cheaper too. And I wanted to try something with a lower drop (FFB2 = 6mm?) than my current (10mm).

    • 1080v10 are super cushy and light. Chalk and cheese compared to the v9. I'm on 3rd pair of v10s - best milage shoe on the market at the moment IMO.

      • How are the sizing on the 1080v10? TTS?

        • I got a NB Boracay 2E and 1080v10. I find the 1080v10 of the same size slightly snugger.

        • Ive had a lot of Nike and Brooks - find them slightly larger fit than either of those. Half size at the most though. D width is reasonably broad across the toe box.

1080v10 was only dropped like 3 months ago and you are already on 3rd pair. How much do you run in a year?!!

        • +1

170k+ a week and I turn them over around 8-900k. Just got 3rd pair with this offer, so really only used 2 pair.

      • How have you gone through so many pairs on a shoe recently released?

        • I rotate through a bunch of shoes depending on the run so have 7-8 pairs of different shoes on the go. My main go to is the 1080 though and change them every 6-7 weeks.

Last year when they included the Made in USA/UK collection in the discount sale. Good times 😢🤩

  • I need to replace my dying everyday shoe and came across the 574 core (nimbus cloud colour) - anyone have experience using this as an everyday shoe?

does it work witht the 18% off e-voucher from suncorp benefit

(updated* does not stack unfortunately:( )

  • Why do they make the running shoes look so ugly

  • Thanks OP. New pair of golf shoes for $94.

  • Doesn't apply to the 990v5

    • Thanks OP, bought the 1080v10 instead. But the 990's would have been nice.

  • Thanks, nice deal! These will make my partner very happy :)

  • I literally missed out by 1 minute!!!

Lol bummer. I had my 3 pairs in cart for a few hours. Came to check still was good after I try to pay for my order I get a discount code expired lol. It would be good to get a expiration time on these deals.

I was going to take advantage of westpac new balance 40% off but missed that one aswell. Haha nice deal though.
